IoT-based municipal waste management and W4T experience

Today there is a trend to use IoT technology to improve waste management by providing electronics systems to monitor the bin filling level or to identify the user of the container. In some localities, pay-as-you-throw systems are based on the volume: residents are charged for each bag or can of waste generated. Here, the communication phase of a given campaign is essential in transmitting information about the operation of the new waste tax system.

Michele Giavini, with other relevant speakers, will contribute to the debate about this during the workshop
