Waste4Think joins the “Science Fair” in Bilbao against food waste

On Saturday, April 21, the “Science Fair” was held in Bilbao, in the Plaza Nueva.

This event pursues its dissemination and promotion, both by the universities and by the students themselves. Thus, Deustotech Energy presented some results of the European Waste4Think Project, such as serious games, as well as an action that seeks to generate awareness by one of its lines of action: the current waste of food. For this aim, a large amount of surplus bread was placed in a visible place, perfectly edible by all people, but which nevertheless ends up in the garbage.

In this way, the problem of food waste was explained, as well as the more global issue of the so-called “Circular Economy”.
